Henri Matisse "Cut-outs" in Tate Modern
Recently, there's been an amazing exhibition on Henri Matisse, the title of it is "Cut-outs". Many paintings and fenomenal cut-outs are presented with a great idea behind. You can discover his paintings, magnificent handwriting, cut-outs, designs, sculptures and stained glass window artwork. Additionally, you can watch 2 videoes of how Matisse was working on his designs. This exhibition is a great opportunity immerse yourself into fantastic shapes and bright colours.
I took my students to see this exhibition as a part of our art lessons; they enjoyed it so much that we even made cut-outs ourselves. Below there are examples of my students work, they are really proud of their work so I made a display of their interpretations in our classroom. If you want to know more about Matisse and his amazing Cut-outs go to Paper Cut Outs. If you want to know more about the exhibition go to Tate Modern site.
